I’ve spent the past three months applying to and visiting graduate schools, in pursuit of a Ph.D., and have come to a conclusive commitment.
I’ll be joining Ken Shepard’s group at the Columbia EE department; my focus will shift a little towards interacting with hybrid biological-electrical systems on the nanoscale. This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn more solid state and device physics, as well as polish my skills in circuits and electronics.
Moreover, this will be paid for by an NDSEG fellowship!
So, if you’ve been following along for the past few months, or have read my essays or have commented on the app, or have written me a letter, I’d like to thank you! My friends and mentors have been a cardinal pillar of what made this happen, and I’ll pay you back the best way – by paying it forward.
